| | | | Review Title: From Great To Bad To Worse! | | | | | | Reviewer: Anonymous | | | | Review Date: 12/1/04 | | | | | | | Rate This Apartment | | | | | | | Just so you know I did live and enjoy most of my time at the Santa Fe Apartments. I lived in a quiet corner from November of 96 to May of 04. Aside from the normal an occasional smoking or loud neighbor the people that lived there were fairly nice. The management changed hands about six months before I moved out. It seemed that they had their own agenda on their hands, and it was not for the benefit of their tenants. The Santa Fe apartments was fun more liberal complex where you could enjoy a can of beer by the hot tub if you so desired or have a barbecue on your porch. A friendly welcome atmosphere. The new management's agenda has completely changed all of this. I use to feel at home at Santa Fe apartments the new management has lost that homey feeling. The previous management was very kind and understanding. They had some flexibility and were very accommodating and willing to help you out.The new management is unwilling to even listen. Here is my story and of course all stories have two sides but how many stories just like mine havent been told.It started when I decided to buy a house in April of 04, (had a baby need more room, tenants below also were smokers and smoke filled the apartment when they would smoke on the porch) this was 1 month shy of completing my lease. 7 & 1/2 years, their oldest running tenant, always have paid on time had recommended many different friends & acquaintances to move in of which 3 became tenants (and yes they have had similar problems) upon leaving. No concession. Sorry nothing we can do.You must fulfill your lease. So I paid a full months rent. Five months go buy and I am contacted by NAR (a collection agency) collecting on The Santa Fe apartments behalf trying to collect $142.50 for cleaning and other misc. items. One of them being the carpet, Santa Fe had a great policy that they would clean the carpet every 6 months for free (never bothered to have it done) also after 5 years the offered to replace the carpet (never bothered to have it done) Santa Fe was charging me (and sent it to a collection agency)(never tried to contact me about this) because I didn't vacuum before I left. The even told me not to worry about the carpet because after 7 1/2 years they were going to replace it, and they did. And once it goes to collections there is nothing that you can do about it but pay. And I did!Don't let this happen to you there are plenty of great complexes in the area. | | | | |
