Apartment Review for Sky Harbor - Salt Lake City, UT

I have been here since the summer of 2005. I am a single mother of 3 young children. I work full time & go to school. My boyfriend Devin has been attending to my children at my residence while I work graveyard shifts & go to school because my mother has become ill & unable to help with my children like she use to. In trade for his help, I work on his taxes and contracts. We recently changed his mailing address because we are unable to afford to travel to Magna daily to pick up his mail from where all his stuff is. When Devin is not helping me with my children he is working on-call as a tow truck driver. He spends more time in his truck than he ever has spent in my apartment. I requested he kept his other automobile here as a second resort because my car continues to get flats from the loose screws in Sky Harbors parking lot. I cannot afford to miss more work or school due to their neglect to keep their parking lots clean. While living at Sky Harbor Apartments my children and I have witness SWAT occurrences that kept us out of our apartment. We have had to experience car theft & burglary on a regular basis. Our neighbors were robbed at gun point while my children and I were right outside by the stairs. We have requested to be moved several times & was declined. For being a resident of Sky Harbor Apartments for quit some time I am appalled with the ignorance and attitude I was treated by Julie when she called me. I tried to inform her of the situation but was continuously cut off & ridiculed. She would not listen & out to just criticize. I am very offended with how she reacted towards me. I was more than willing to put Devin on the lease if it made her happy and explained that the lease was coming up in a month, so we weren't planning on staying long anyway. She continued to nitpick and accused me of housing someone that could not pass a background check, although she has no idea who she is talking to or about. Devin has been here for my children, when I’m not here, for their safety since the security here is inadequate and I won‘t leave my children with anyone else available. She then continued to ridicule me because I requested a form filled out for DWS for CHILDCARE assistance so I could get my children into a proper childcare facility. Julie lacks communication skills & needs training in professionalism. She obviously lacks empathy for anyone trying to better their situation & security for their families. I understand why many of my neighbors have just given up & left with the attitude she has shown towards the residence here.
