Apartment Review for Towne Gate Apartments - Salt Lake City, UT

I was so excited to move in cause everything was brand new... yet the whole experience really left me annoyed. I moved in during the winter and the heater was constantly running. In the summer my cooler was literally running from 9 am to 10 pm or later. The temperature was NEVER below 80 degrees. One time it was over 90 degrees in my apartment. I complained over 10 times and they never did anything about it so I just sat there and sweat. I know it had something to do with living on the top floor but 80+ degrees at all times is just ridiculous! The girls in the office were really inconsiderate and rude and never followed through with any of their promises. My gas and electricity bills were through the roof. Don't move here for the pool either, it's constantly swarmed with unattended children. Also, there was a car left in the middle of the parking lot with the windows down for two days and apparently the police "found something" in the car according to the manager. I'm not going to assume what was in the car but there was a police stationed at the apartments every night after that from then on. I will go ahead and assume that the neighborhood is not safe. On top of everything it took them almost 4 months to get my security deposit back to me after I had moved out. I had left everything brand new and even filled the holes in the wall where I had put pictures. I almost gave up on even getting it back because of all the lies and excuses they had given me. That's when I reported them to the Better Business Beaurea and finally got it back. I'm not one of those crazy annoying badgering tenants, I'm a normal person. If this can push even one person to move somewhere other than Towne Gate then this was definitely worth writing. The whole thing still makes me mad and I haven't lived there for over a year now.
